"IL" DECUGNANO ROSSO UMBRIA
A blend of sangiovese, montepulciano d’abruzzo, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah, Decugnano Rosso IL is deep ruby with purple reflections. The bouquet is ample, intense, persistent of raspberry jam, reminiscent of liquorice and juniper berries. The taste is rich, bodied, generous, long and sapid. A great and noble wine.
   
VINTAGE: 2003
GRAPES: sangiovese 35%, montepulciano d’abruzzo 20%, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah 45%.
REFINING: In barriques for 18 months in natural caves, at ideal temperature and humidity. Then in bottles for 12 months.
ALCOHOL: 13,5% vol.
TOTAL ACIDITY: 5,00 g/l.
RESIDUAL SUGAR: less than 2 g/l.
SERVING: At a temperature of 18°-20° C (64°-68° F).
COMBINATIONS: Best with strong savory dishes such as roasts and game. Ideal with hard strong cheese.
AGING: It is excellent around its forth year of age.
