Decugnano dei Barbi is a dynamic company, which carries out experimentation with care. New varieties and clones are continually tested together with new methods of vine-growing. The company has the merit of being the first to study the possibility of producing a quality red wine in the region of Orvieto, an area which has always been devoted to the production of white wine. Decugnano dei Barbi keeps in constant touch with the University of Perugia, which checks the climatic conditions of the area through a computerised control panel suggesting the best time to make the most important interventions on the vineyards.
