Dosaggio Zero
The Metodo Classico Dosaggio Zero is a recent creation that originated in the 2010 vintage.
The sparkling base used for the Dosaggio Zero is the same as our renowned Brut: it comes from the same vineyards, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, and undergoes the same vinification process and yeast aging for 42 months. The main difference lies in the dosage.
Without the addition of sugar in the liqueur, the Dosaggio Zero fully reveals the authenticity of Decugnano's terroir, with its mineral strength, salinity, and the memory of the ancient sea that once covered our lands, more than 3 million years ago.

Did you know?
"Dosaggio Zero" means that no sugars have been added during the final stage of production, specifically during disgorging and dosage. If a small amount of sugar had been added, the sparkling wine would have had a different name.
For instance, if we had added between 6 and 12 grams per liter of sugar, the wine would have been called "Brut."
