Brut Metodo Classico
Created by Claudio Barbi in 1978 as a tribute to his Brescia roots, this wine was initially crafted with Procanico and Verdello grapes. Over the years, it has evolved into something even more special, utilizing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and extending the lees aging period to nearly 4 years. The entire production process is artisanal: riddling and disgorgement are still carried out manually, with care and passion.
The result? An elegant, fresh wine with a fine and persistent perlage that will leave you speechless.

Millesimato vs Cuvèe
Since its first release, Decugnano dei Barbi's Metodo Classico has always been "millesimato," meaning it is produced with grapes from a single vintage. We have always wanted the wine to fully reflect the characteristics of the specific vintage, just as it is typically done for still wines.
On the other hand, "Cuvée" refers to a sparkling wine made from a blend of wines from different vintages. With Cuvée, the producer can more easily manage the final quality of the wine by blending different components.
